Palmoilmagazine, JAKARTA - Palm oil biodiesel development keeps running in national scale. Biodiesel mandatory program does too. Prior the mixture reached 30% with diesel.
According to General Directorate of New Renewable Energy and Energy Conversion (NREEC) Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, claimed, by the second week of September 2022, the realization of palm oil biodiesel absorption reached 7,03 million kiloliters (kl) or more than 63,7% of the total allocation which was stated before that reached 11,0 million kiloliters.
Director of Bioenergy General Directorate of NREEC Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Edi Wibowo said, the B30 mandatory implementation in 2021 distributed about 9,3 million kiloliters of palm oil biodiesel. “It saved the exchange about Rp 66 billion,” Edi said, as in the official statement to Palmoilmagazine recently.
He also continued, palm oil biodiesel industries created more than 1 million workers, reduced green-house gas emission, escalated environment quality up to 24,6 million tons of CO2 equivalent. (T2)
